How do you view self-care?
How do you view SELF-CARE? Do you take a firm stand for it? Or do you turn a blind eye? Putting others’ needs before your own and telling yourself…..
“I’ll do that when I have more time, more money, more…………..” ?
are you PUTTING YOUR OWN NEEDS OFF?
When I was teaching yoga full time, I put my own needs off on a consistent basis because quite honestly, I didn’t have enough time or enough money, to take care of my basic needs, let alone do all the things I wanted to do to nourish and grow myself like:
⭐Go to yoga classes for myself;
⭐Go on retreat;
⭐Travel to India or Bali;
⭐Attend Yoga Teacher Trainings (Yes, I consider this self-care)
⭐Visit my family and friends in Ireland (I live in Spain)
I couldn’t afford to teach less or take time off, it simply was not possible! I also felt that if I did go away, I would be letting my students down, as they relied on me to be there for them!
Can you relate?
Is this a fundamental flaw?
This to me feels like a fundamental flaw in the business of yoga because realistically we are business owners. And as a business owner, it is vital that you take care of the assets of your company. And it’s sooooooooo important to remember that as a Yoga Teacher…………..
YOUR BIGGEST ASSET IS YOU!!! ????
I am super passionate about this topic. It’s so close to my heart because it was my story. However, I didn’t want it to continue to be ‘my story’ so I have redesigned my whole business model so that I am now supporting and nourishing my biggest asset (me) as best I can!
How did I do this?
I did this by learning digital skills and truly leveraging the power of digital marketing to create additional income streams to support me while I teach, travel, and even sleep.
I LOVE sharing what I have learned to help create a more sustainable balanced business model and really feel it is my greatest gift to help other yoga teachers (maybe like you), to do this too!
You are your biggest asset!
YOU ARE IMPORTANT!
I want you to see just how important you are and I want YOU to put yourself and your needs first. Why? Because your job as a Yoga Teacher is incredibly important. The world needs you! However, I’m sure you have heard the saying……
YOU CAN’T FILL FROM AN EMPTY CUP!
Don’t turn a blind eye to yourself! Take a firm stand for you and fill your cup first!
You deserve to live a life that is fulfilled on all levels.
Are you truly filling your cup? Do you need to reassess and maybe course correct?
The greatest level of service I can offer (if you will allow me) is to share with you, all the tools and resources I have learned to help you to grow your Yoga Business and your income and help you to create the life you have been dreaming of.
Sending you love and light for your journey!
